“CHAWBARET 6: MAGIC TO DO!” FEATURING MANY DC CABARET NETWORK MEMBERS: OCT 17, 23 & 24

Washington, D.C. – The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) and the GLBT Arts Consortium are presenting “CHAWbaret 6: Magic To Do!” an evening of pop songs, standards, and show tunes that will take you on a magical journey without leaving Capitol Hill! “Magic To Do!” will be performed on Friday, October 16, Saturday, October 17, Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 at 8:00 PM at CHAW, 545 7th Street SE (Eastern Market, blue line). Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, available at: www.chaw.org or 202-547-6839. (Advance purchase is strongly encouraged for this popular program). Doors open at 7:30pm. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds from the performances benefit CHAW’s and the GLBT Arts Consortium’s missions of building community through the arts.

CHAWbaret will feature D.C. Cabaret Network members, including: Matt Howe, Michael Miyazaki, Ron Squeri, Deborah Davidson, Dorie Hightower, Katherine McCann, Eileen Warner and Dean Reichard.

Musical direction is by Amy Conley, who co-instructs “Cabaret for Adults” at CHAW and has recently starred in the hilarious “Musical of Musicals: The Musical” at Dominion Stage, and has musical directed other CHAWbarets as well as many theatrical productions in the metropolitan DC area including Jesus Christ Superstar at St. Mark’s Players, Man of LaMancha at the Keegan Theatre and “Godspell” at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.

The GLBT Arts Consortium is a voluntary collaboration of varied arts organizations from the Washington, D.C. metro area which works to raise the visibility of GLBT arts.
