Around the Corner …

“Last night Dean and I were both at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) for the first rehearsal of CHAWbaret III, which will be performed April 18-19. It looks like a great line-up of performers this time. There’s some new, very talented faces that have not performed in previous CHAWbarets.
While we were there, Dean and I went downstairs to the Black Box theater where we are performing our show, “Double Entendre”. It was exciting to be in the space and imagine ourselves on that stage. We worked out some technical details last night while we were there — where to place the piano, for instance, so that our Musical Director, Elisa, can see us and play at the same time. It sounds like an innocuous problem to solve, but it’s important. If Elisa (and piano) are too far back, then we lose connection with her. And Elisa needs to be able to see us for cues, etc. So we spent 10 or 15 minutes figuring out the best placement for the piano. Details! Details!
See you all at CHAW on March 28-29!!“
